Shaun Gladwell is one of Australia’s most celebrated and admired living artists. Since capturing the attention of the art world in 2000 with his compelling video “Storm Sequence” (now part of the MOMA permanent collection), Gladwell has remained at the forefront of the global art scene. His work integrates all manner of urban expression and pop-culture such as skateboarding, hip-hop, graffiti, BMX bike riding, break-dancing and extreme sports.
BADFAITH is a VR content collective of the world’s top visual artists and directors telling stories that connect audience to action in entirely new ways. Co-founded by director Shaun Gladwell and producer Leo Faber their work is playful and imaginative, edgy and intimate. The BADFAITH collective are vanguards of a new medium. Experienced engineers at the creative coalface forging unflinchingly raw and highly immersive VR experiences. Their work, Orbital Vanitas, places the audience inside a human skull orbiting the earth, premiered at Sundance Film Festival and was an official selection at the Festival de Cannes in 2017.
