Archrival is a non-profit organisation that unites the creative community through productive rivalry and interdisciplinary collaboration. They operate strategically, and explore ways to reshape architecture and design practice. Their projects range from "traditional" architecture to custom furniture and set design, large scale interactive installations, critical writing, strategic infrastructure, collaborative workshops and exhibitions. Archrival believes that standard practices need to be challenged in order to remain valid. Formed in 2011, their projects have involved hundreds of collaborators to date. They have participated in leading events and exhibitions including the Sydney Architecture Festival (2015), Complete Streets (2013), Art & About (2013), Sydney Art Month (2013), Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (2013), Sydney Festival (2012), the 13th Venice International Biennale of Architecture (2012), and Sydney Fringe (2011). Recent clients include Transport for NSW, the City of Sydney, Waverley Council, NSW Architects Registration Board, Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, the Australian Institute of Architects and Vanishing Elephant.
